Hey, I've replaced a lot of stuff on my 79/78 so here's the best places, I've found:
Ames Performance - BEST pontiac restoration parts supplier. They only deal in Pontiac stuff, and they ONLY sell quality parts (new only though)
NPD is ok, but they don't really care if you're ordering a good part or not...i.e. they sell some pretty cheesy restoration stuff.
The Paddock is another magazine like NPD.
I bought fenders from Arizona Rust Free Trans Am Parts and got prompt service.
If you ever plan on dropping a real Pontiac engine in, check out Jim Butler Performance and Chief Many Horses.

www.classicindustries.com They have decent prices and a pretty MASSIVE inventory, plus you can download the catalog direct to your PC. I get a smoking discount there so I buy a lot of parts, watch out for part numbers that start with the letter G. Those are OEM parts (original manufacturer) and the prices tend to shoot up.
One more thing...Paddock and NPD are places I used to buy from. The service was SOOOO f*cking bad I told them to hang it in their ass. The salesmen didn't know a carb from a carpet.

Yeah, unless you're trying to build a show car, repreductions can save a ton of cash.
You have to be careful though, because places like NPD get some CHEESY reproductions that break easy, have wierd grains, etc.
Ames seriously rocks though, they're total Pontiac.
