I have a couple of stupid questions. We found a FI V-8 from a 94 lincoln (size?). And we're wondering how much different it would be install wise from a 302. (ie motor mounts, tranny mounts, over all engine dimensions.) any info would be a help.

I'm guessing thats a 4.6, exaclty what lincoln did it come from?

a lincoln town car, 4.6 sounds right. the car belongs to my old boss, she beat the fuck out of the body but the engine still runs good, so we're gonna try get it for my brothers bobcat. will it bolt up to a 5-speed from an 80's mustang?

No, not without an after market bellhousing. You can dig up the bellhousing/tranny (T-45) from a 1996 or new Stang.
I believe the computer would be a problem also, did the 1994 Lincoln have a computer controlled tranny? I'm not sure how compatable the comp from a 4.6/5 speed Stang would be.
Plus the 4.6 is a good bit wider than a 302.

I installed a 4.6L from a 1995 T Bird in my 1948 Mercury. It madea really nice update from the original 239 flathead.

What shape was the flathead in when you pulled it? If it was running, can I have it?
