NMRA cancelled

First race for combo rained out, 3rd ford race cancelled in 3 months up here in north east..... i hate this... dumped way to much $$$$ for play time in car... guess how many mustang events have been raced up here....1 out of 5 that im aware of.. rain all the time... just rain rain and more rain... im buying a jet ski fuck it.

I was watching the news yesterday, and they mentioned how much (more than normal) it's been raining throughout the northeast and midwest. Here in FL, we generally don't notice "more rain" because it's what we expect. My brother in Ohio called me today from Norwalk's "Night Under Fire" event. He said it was a BEAUTIFUL day there, so I had hopes that the NMRA event would go on as scheduled. It rained in 2001, but they ran 'em anyway, whenever they could. Sunday was fine, but Fri. and Sat. sucked. I didn't make it last year. There's always ATCO and BOWLING GREEN!!! The Chicago event is a bit far... Sorry ya didn't get to race though. Had you already paid the entry fee, etc?

no i had not left due to the weather,....i was originally going to leave friday but saw it wasn't worth it. i was talking to a freind corey who already was there, he said it rained all day friday and that it was still pouring and this was at 6am this morning,... we headed out anyways and got the news while in new york.. so i just headed back. hadn't paid the entry fee... read on the nmra board when i got home there were only a dozen wild street cars so far...while texas and ohio boasted 30+.... id like to compete in a higher count feild. yea i am very excited about atco... we have an mhra race in july up here at lebenon valley, all i need is a air gap mani and ditch the spray and im good for street stock...(next class up is limited street wich i would need a power adder..) hopefully they rescedule the m/g race before or right after atco so we get a double whammy!!!!.

You can expect this race to be left out of the points... If anything, they'll have a double event at the Chicago show. At least you hadn't driven to it.. I thought you were already in PA though...

:bw: .. guy who towed my car down,lil bro wasn't able to make it originally... it was either go back and pick him up 5hr drive
