OK when I'm in a parking lot and turn sharp I get all kinds of noise. I get clunking, popping, and even squealing (like the tires are rubbing something).

Is this my posi or do you think something is wrong with my rear-end. It does it going forward and reverse, but I only here it in parking lot never when driving down a road or normal cornering.

So what do you think is this normal or what. Please give me some advice on what to do/what to look for or check out.THANKS

By the way 1998 firebird ls1 a4 (50,000 miles).

Sounds like bearings to me. Check over the other steering and suspension parts too.

I know those rears were prone to rear "posi" diff clutch chatter. Does the diff have the proper fluid in it? Gm also makes a supliment that Quiets chatter.

My buddy had a 98 z and it would clank alot in the rear. It ended up that the pad for the emergency brake broke off.

I changed the fluid and put GM additive in it. cured the problem completely nice and quiet again.
