Wanted pre 86 mustang front bumper.

I am looking for a 86 or prior front bumper for a mustang. I really like the square light front ends and know alot of guys change them. So let me know if anyone has one sitting around, thanks

I have one sitting in my attic actually. I think it is off of an 83ish lx. Ohio-florida would be quite a shipping cost though.

I think you need a Cervini's Stormin' Norman hood to go with your new bumper, too.

I'm sure I have an 82 version.... I'm in FL and I'll bring you the whole friggin' CAR for $600. Oh, no driveline or anything, and the interior is nearly stripped. We're talkin "base" stuff here, but it's got a 10pt cage in it...

Acutaly i might be interested in the parts car. Couple quick questions, how is the hatch? Mine is kinda rusted and will probally need to be replaced, also how about the passanger side fender?

Is that 82 a gt or just a base model? I am hurting for an 82 gt nose.

The hatch is repairable, but it needs work, no doubt. The fenders are both in great shape as far as I know and the drivers door is in pretty good shape, but the passenger side needs work. The hood is also in very good condition as far as I can remember. I don't pay much attention really, but I can look it over and even bring it to you. It hasn't been crashed or anything. It's just getting old and needs "TLC" which I'm ALL OUT OF!

Maybe it IS a GT. but Idonno... What I know is, it's got the hood with that large hole "ram air" and raised cover and it is a factory unit to my knowledge. Lord knows I didn't change it.

I know I shouldn't bother, since "65" lives in Ohio and could make this easier,(and quicker and cheaper) but...

I'll have to think about parting this car out. I'd much rather sell the body outright, even though parts make more money. I'm busy lately(although I never really do much). When's a good time to call? And who do I ask for? Okay, check in, 65... This one should be all you.

Unfortunatley I don't have the front end that kest86 is looking for. Mine is older than that. I will post a pic of the one I have tomorrow sometime, if anyone who sees it is interested drop me a pm and make an offer. You guys looking for pre 86 parts should drop by www.foureyedpride.com in the for sale/wtb section. The difference between an 82 gt and a non gt is the lower airdam and grille. The GT is the same one as the pace car.

That's the same style front end as the 86. So what's different, lack of driving lights in yours?

Yeah, this end doesn't have a little junk under it that the GT ones have. If you want to use aftermarket ground effects you have to swap to an LX part anyway. They switched in 85 from the traditional looking grille to two solid bar things in between the headlights.

Actually 82-83 gt's had 3 bars 84-86 had just 2 bars. And to tell difference between an 82 and an 83 the scoop on the hood is open to the front on an 82 with a hole that was factory stamped into the hood shaped like a kidney bean 83 hole was gone scoop open towards winshield {cowlhood}. http://www.mustanggt.org has every example of gt from 82-93 and only gt's if you a question about a gt or a hard to find part such as a 82gt front bumper cover and spoiler these guys will have it. By the way have 2 whole 82 gt bodies one t-top one sunroof front bumper cover worth $500-$800 hard to find part. http://www.mustanggt.org

Are you saying the bumper cover is worth that much? God I hope not. Some company I want to say its called Xenon or something along those lines have a bumper cover thats "close enough" for most... I have seen a couple lower bumper cover for about $150 in okay shape.
