New MMC Timeslip Database!

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: EvilLS1

Since the script kiddie deleted our 1/4 Mile ET list I decided to write a Timeslip Database script for vBulletin. Everything seems to be working nicely but let me know if you spot any bugs.

MMC Timeslip Database

To submit your data click the user cp button at the top, then click edit vehicle profile. Please don't submit bullshit info just to be funny.

Also, if you had already entered your info you'll have to go and enter it again.. I had to clear out all of the old custom profile fields and make new ones.

Posted by: 99-LS1-SS

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/modernmusclecars.net/forums/timeslips.php on line 118

Posted by: EvilLS1

Yeah I'm adding something to it right now.. Try again in a few minutes.

Posted by: VETTKLR

Shit! As of right now, that's quite the jump from 1st to 2nd, isn't it!!!

Posted by: EvilLS1

Yep! We need more 9 and 10 second cars to fill in the gap.

Posted by: VETTKLR

9 and 10 second cars.....

I coulda' been a contendah!!!

Posted by: EvilLS1

Damn VETTKLR, I just noticed that your reaction time is the same as mine. Maybe we'd do better with a pro tree.

Posted by: 99-LS1-SS

If I only have a 1/8 mile time should I just post that or do the conversion for a 1/4 too?

Posted by: LS1JAY

Just post your 1/8th mile time and get to the 1/4 mile soon!

Posted by: Tang

Kllr, I feel sorry for the poor guy in the other lane, you killed him, and he jumped on you at the tree.

Posted by: VETTKLR

That was one of my acquaintances in a '95 LT1 TA. He's packin exhaust, gears, shifter and a Hypertech program.

He didn't feel any pain.

Posted by: Tang

Obviously, he just got a quick glimpse of tailights...lol

Posted by: 99-LS1-SS

My 1/8 mile time didn't show up on the board. Does that mean I need to run a 1/4 mile to get my name up?

Posted by: VETTKLR

Tell ya what...why don't you just calculate out your 1/4 from your 1/8 mile info. I won't tell anyone.

Posted by: 99-LS1-SS

It sorts 1/4 mile times by default, so it only shows people who have entered something in the 1/4 mile field. Select "sort by 1/8 mile" from the drop down menu and it'll show your time.

Posted by: 99-LS1-SS

I am just going to post my 1/8 mile time. I want everything I post to be legit. I will just have to drive 1 1/2 hours to go to a 1/4 mile track. That will be my next trip.

Posted by: 99-LS1-SS

I have a suggestion. I hope this doesn't piss anyone off. Why not post 1/8 mile times with 1/4 mile times. But, have them at the bottom sorted by 1/8 mile times and the 1/4 mile time blank. I don't know if that is possible or not. If not sorry for the trouble.

Posted by: EvilLS1

Its possible, but I'm too lazy to recode it.

You should make the drive to a 1/4 mile track.. Its worth it! Even though there's an 1/8 mile track less than 30 minutes from my house, I always drive 1 1/2 hours to race the full 1/4.

Posted by: 99-LS1-SS

Well at least you're honest. It was worth a try.

Posted by: LS1JAY

You'll have some good times soon enough! It's 80 miles to the 1/4 mile from where I live also. 1/8th mile is like 10 minutes away, but it sucks! I don't have any new times with my new mods either, I'll just have to wait till Dec - Jan when we get some good air during the day and not freakin mid to high 80's like it's been lately.

Posted by: VETTKLR

Tomorrow night at our track:

Lows in the upper 20's.

Want to play?

Posted by: EvilLS1

I made a front page add-on yesterday that will show the top five quickest 1/4 mile cars.

Posted by: VETTKLR

That looks great, Evil!

...but could you tell me what kinda' cars represent the top 3?

All your tracks belong to us.

Posted by: EvilLS1

I made a small update to this hack to make it a little more organized.. If you go to your user CP you'll see a link to the top that says "Edit Vehicle Profile".. This is where to submit your timeslip info.

Posted by: EvilLS1

I added the ability to sort by ET brackets. (ie. show 10 second cars only. 11 second cars only, 13 sec cars, single digit cars, etc).

Posted by: 65fairlane

I can't believe how spoiled I am. I live within 25 or so minutes of a really good quarter mile track and have never raced.

Posted by: EvilLS1

You should go 65fairlane. Its fun!

Added site averages to the sort list:

http://modernmusclecars.net/forums/...action=averages

Our average ET is 12.35 right now. Not too shabby! Of coarse Zmann's 7 second run is helping that a bit.

Posted by: 65fairlane

My 19.5 would kill us... The escort is faster than the cougar, but I don't feel like scattering my daily driver's clutch on the track. The thing is iffy as it is...

Posted by: EvilLS1

testing something

Posted by: VETTKLR

yeah, I was wondering about that invalid image.

Posted by: EvilLS1

Hmm.. Not sure why its not displaying the image.

Posted by: VETTKLR

Dammit!!!

There goes any glimpse of me taking that #2 spot!!!

No way in hell my car could run a 9.40...

On the other hand....I guess the average ET dropped nicely as well!!!

Nice times!!!

Glad you like it. I've talked with your boss before over @ vbulletin.org (Chris I think?) . Nice guy.

Posted by: Grape Ape

I almost thought it's time for me to get back to the track now, but since it's another cool looking Mustang(aren't they everywhere?) I guess it can wait awhile... Feb. probably.

Welcome to the site. Car looks real nice and obviously runs well too.

LOL... I've got alot of work to get done and I'm looking at March/April before I make any passes w/ the new combo, so you've got time to catch-up (maybe). ...dunno... What's the run-down on your 'stang?

Thanks guys,
-Ryan

408 with TEA TW "R" heads, small cam(solid roller though) ...850dp Annular Holley, Super Victor 351W intake, C6(that'll slow me down) 11.39:1 compression and a bit of nitrous(305hp). This is a new combo for me too, but the old car with the exact engine in it(different trans&gears, more weight hatchback), I saw 126+ on motor right outta the gate... I hope and expect to see even better mph with the new car, and I'll also be using slicks from now on. I'm kinda shootin' for 10.20's on motor once I get it dialed in.

I'm shooting for 10.90's on motor w/ a 311" ...so I'd say you've got me covered w/ us both spraying ~300hp too. So I'll enjoy the glory, lol, while it lasts.

Go right ahead... i'm in no hurry at this point anyway. My recent move has kicked my butt and I'm still unpacking, shelving, etc.. It's been rough, but at least I got moved. Hey, what's your alternator setup consist of? I'm REALLY considering changing mine to a 1 wire. Aside from that, I've got little to do. The car runs, sounds nice for a loud car, and the tranny feels strong(finally). We shall see what happens soon... And I fully expect to have video sometime by end of February.

Your car is pretty well flyin' for such a small engine. A friend of mine got 11.00's from his 306 and called it done. Now he's got a 351W block and shooting for 9.50's. Nitrous is a GOOD thing! :btg:

I have a Performance Dist. 130A alt.... but, I'd been running it with the factory wiring, so I'm told it wasn't doing any better than the stock 75A unit. Soooo, I'm going to wire it up the right way with some 4 gauge to get more out of it.

What is your current charging system setup, anyhow?

Posted by: Grape Ape

My current alternator is stock a 75A unit. With the carb, I figured I don't need much more, but I think I'll do the 1 wire 100A to make things easier. That will only need a wire from the MSD to work properly from what I've read. I was looking into the 130A like those used on the 95-up, but I'm noot likin' it much after seeing it on some other vehicles. Like the original, it takes too many wires for me. I like simple electronics/electrical in my car. That's why I stuck to the MSD-6al.

I've still got to hook up a couple things, but nothing major. All I can say for sure is, if I don't get this thing completely finished and down the track again within the next 2 months, I'm probably going to sell it. No sense in keeping even a powerful beast if you never get behind the wheel.

Posted by: ultraflo

well... my car has been sitting for little over a year now. I've had the motor together for about 6mos. now, but I have a bunch of other stuff to finish up... wiring, plumbing the fuel system (again), putting all of the interior back in, etc. I made too many changes to the car, itself, from the way it was in '02. And lately, I just haven't been all that motivated... but it'll be running by March/April.

I'm attached to my 'stang... had it since '97 when I was in high school still, lol. Too many good times/memories wrapped up in that heap to sell it off.

If your car runs 11.99 or quicker you have to include a link to the actual timeslip when submitting your data. Once its submitted (along with your timeslip) you will automatically be listed in the 11 second club.

Posted by: Spenser

So you just copy and paste the website at the top of the scren and put it in the little box thing?

Posted by: EvilLS1

Just email your timeslip to me and I'll upload it and post it for you.

Posted by: VETTKLR

An 11.1 @ 135 with a naturally aspirated Chevy 350 and street tires in a big-ass Chevelle.

Posted by: Spenser

Well, it isnt the original motor I took it out of a old Chevelle that was in a junk yard, it must have been a former drag champ car or something, cuz it had a gold plate on the dash. dating from 70-73

Posted by: Spenser

Thanks, i got it though Evil

Posted by: Spenser

How Do you make a new topic, or thread?

No, you didn't get it. You entered a link to the edit profile page where your timeslip link goes. You'll have to get a working link to your timeslip before you can submit a time thats 11.99 or quicker. If you will just email me a copy of your timeslip I will take care of it for you.

To post a new topic you simply click the new topic button and post it the same way you post a reply.

You have to upload the actual timeslip if you want to post a time thats 11.99 or quicker. If you don't, the script will remove your time. Its really easy to upload it. Just follow the instructions that I posted.
