Pretty good numbers, but I like the torque curve. Similar to my own setup. Aight, gotta run for a few days, so POOF!

Posted by: 410stroker

heh that sounds like the same exact cam i have :o

Posted by: Tang

Cool, what kinda heads you running ?

410, you go .040" over with the block ?

Posted by: 410stroker

yeah .040 over. got canfield heads, im runnin 13:1 compression

Posted by: Tang

13:1.......geeeeeeeeez

I took the oen you see above, raised compression to 13:1, and added the extra .010" , it took peak HP to 616, but I dont have any flow numbers or valve sizes on your Canfield heads

I almost got Canfields, but honestly didn't use them simply due to the lack of flow(cause I like nitrous). I ordered them and all, but after fow benching, decided against them.

Kennis, does the dyno take into consideration things like flat tappet or solid roller cams? WC type heads.... As in NEAL? Talk about RACE ONLY!

That reminds me... I saw something about a "new" 32V head for the 5.0 engine from some place in Canada... A company called "Dominion" offered that design all the way back in 1998(maybe sooner) and I nearly got a set. Then it hit me... $5,000 for a set of heads just ISN'T conducive to a daily driver OR a "budget" build. :btg:

Yes it does Grape. You can adjust the ramp rates. It has 3 settings. Stock to mild, street/strip, and race only.

And I can enter custom head info as long as I know wedge or canted, valve sizes, and flow numbers.

2.08/1.60 320cfm/240

Posted by: VETTKLR

320/240 @ .700"?

What do they flow up to that point?

Posted by: Grape Ape

My M2 CNC'd Canfields "only" managed 311/222, so anything more is really good. I was told 320 is about "all" I could expect from them after hand port work. That's why I passed and got the "R" heads.

Posted by: VETTKLR

Those lift #'s @ .700" are just for bragging rights.

MId-lift #'s, baby. That's where it's at!

Posted by: Grape Ape

They're not just for bragging rights if your cam is good for that much lift and has a healthy duration. But otherwise, I agree, it's pointless for most people to have numbers above .600"
