Well, new to us....1997 4WD Ford F250 Heavy Duty 7.5 liter (460 cu.inch, comes with a Texas oil well deed) XLT,Camper package, "power everything". This will carry an 11 ft. camper on the back along with towing a boat. Only 59,000 miles on it. One owner. Clean Carfax, blah blah blah...
12 mpg all around avg. fuel consumption. Luckily, this will only see about 2000 miles a year (Camping, hunting, fishing)

Thanks Mike!
I was questioning the Brush guard..its bolted to the bumper...has a spot on it for a winch...would that be wise to bolt a winch to it? I have no experience with winches, wouldn't those somehow bolt to the frame that the bumper is attached to?

Sweet truck!

the winch should bolt to the frame, or to a bumper made specifically for a winch. Otherwise it becomes a projectile.
The brush guard you have is good for mounting light on, thats about it.

That looks nice! That's one of the last of it's kind too. I'd like one just like it, but I don't want a 460, since diesel power is available. I passed on one w/ diesel last year, and wish I'd taken it. The mileage seems good for that engine, btw.

Thks for the nice replies.
Yeah, the mileage is why I got this thing so cheap!(1/3 the cost of a new one with the same packages) But hey, its only gonna be used for camping, hunting, boating. Less than 2000 miles a year is not gonna break me.

VERY sweet truck !! I myself am looking to 460 power for my Mustang now.
Enjoy that thing, it should definetly handle your camping needs.
