After my friend moded his car and is getting 440 at wheels suposely. He is runing a shitty 13.0 1/4 with drag radials he is having a traction problem but this is rediculas and he is not the only one I know 2 people with 03 cobra's and is not getting the times for the horsepower. My 00 Trans am Cost me 17 g and I get 13.6 on a good day. So I am wondering if any one els is having this problem and if so have they fixed it IE tires or other mods that may help. WTF lol Thanks

Your friends need to learn how to DRIVE! I've seen 03 Cobras with 4 mods run 11's on FACTORY rubber. I've also seen them run 12.7's in 100% stock form. That's the difference a good driver can make. Average drivers are running 13.0's in these cars while stock.

If the guy has 440rwhp and knows this, he can't drive to save his life if he isn't running 11's, or at very least mid 12's even for GRANDMA! It's all in the launch. Figure that out, and run 11's. What matters here though, is something you left off... The mph at the traps. That's an indication as to whether or not something's wrong.

I will Have to ask Him to show me time slip. I am not sure. I was thinking that maybe the modes he has done is screwing his car up. Or maybe he should run diifernt tires like some good street tires instead of the drags he is runing on. I think they are BF good rench drags.

A few things to remember.

An 11 second car at sea level, will run a high 12 here in Vegas based on elevation alone, where are you compared to where those quick times are being ran ?

A high 12 second car here, after the DA (temp, humidity, etc) becomes a low 13 second car here.

A 370 RWHP 03 cobra VS a 370 RWHP T/a, assuming both can drive, the T/a will win every time. The cobra has issues with the IRS and sticky tires. All the super fast 03 cobras have went to a live axle.
