My car is so damn slow it aint even funny. My best time in the 1.8th in my car is 11.606 @61.74mph, that was back in october with a 55* night and i was running on some $35 tires on the back and a tankful of gas, what the fuck can i do to get back to running mid 10s in the 1/8th like my car should be doing?

If you ran that in 55* air, something must be wrong with your car! What year is it? I've seen the Mark VII's dip into the high 9's before with the 5.0 H.O motors. They should atleast be solid 10 sec cars. Maybe you need a tune up? Tell us about your car (year, mods, 60ft)

1988 Mark VII
Only mods so far are flowmaster mufflers and ripped air silencer.
It did get a tune-up back in june with plugs, PCV, filters, but i didnt get new wires or o2s.

My 60 ft. time was 2.658 with the 11.606.

Some possible power takers right now are clogged cats, bad o2's, bad plug wires, but I dunno.

Your 60' time is wretched... Learn to launch with no wheelspin and that should drop, only to a 2.3 or so, but that's got to be better on the other end by a healthy margin(maybe half a second).

If you can't improve the 60' time, you need to look into why the engine isn't running right, as 2.6 is off the pace. Even my old NON HO Grand Mark was better. Did you ever get that tune-up done?

Here is what i know got done to the car, autolite 25 plugs gapped at 54, fram fuel, air, and oil filters.new pcv valve, dist cap and rotor, timing is set at 10*.

I don't remember the tires spinning, I could feel the trac-lok kick in and I went.

Btw, bump the timing to 15* and that will prolly help.

Im gonna do some other stuff to the car, one being checking fuel pressure. I may need a new regulator. Im getting some parts for a nice price, parts are:

bbk underdrives
Mac Cold air induction
FMS 9mm wires
MSD cap & rotor.

all im gettin for now.
