Have a 98 Taurus. The interior light (illumination) stays on longer lthen it should, sometimes the lights stay on and I have to remove the footwell bulbs and the overhead light. When it does not go off after about 5 minutes after driving it takes several hours or a day before the power to them will turn off. Now the driver side door will not lock while driving. When using the power lock button to lock the door the driver side door will unlock. The door should only unlock automatically if the key is left in the ignition and it is in the off position (a safety feature to prevent accidentally locking the keys in the car). Any ideas on what is going on? Thanks.

wd-40 sprayed into the door lock /latch assly. will loosed the hardened grease that is preventing the door switch operating .don,t be shy with the wd-40. good luck ,bob
