93 Z28 Harmonic Balancer

Just changed the water pump, opti-spark, wires, plugs, coil on my 93 Z28. There doesn't seem to be a locking key on the balancer. There is a key on the crank though. When I put it back on I match marked the balancer and crank. I have also torqued the balancer to the owners manual specs. I'm a little hesitant to put the belt back on and fire the motor knowing all that is holding it down is that little 3/8ths bolt. Any suggestions? I've never seen a car without a key. Maybe this is normal for the motor, but it doesn't say anything about it in the manual.

Thanks,
Nate

The balancer does not have a keyway on the lt1 mototrs. The pulley/balancer is held on by three bolts.
