I am thinking about a cam for my car 1998 LS1 A4 lid and catback.
I want something where I see more power throughout but nothing huge.
I want something that is not real hard on spring ,don't want to worry about breaking anything and that works good with stock converter, something with good cost per hp.
I will get a tune from LS1 SPEED INC.
From what I have read I like the hotcam but most seem to down talk it.
I don't know much about cams but my next guess would be a 220/220 cam I would like good driveability.
So what cam do you think is for me any suggestion will be appreciated.
THANKS.

I would recommend the Thunder Racing 224/224 cam. It has good drivability, and good power.

The Hotcam is okay, but not real popular. A friends '01 M6 Z-28 ran 12.4@115+ with nothing more than a catback, lid & hotcam on street tires!

Those are good #s for a hotcam.
