i own a 70 rs camaro. the question is right now im running 275 60 15 on a 8 wide wheel. and im trying to find out how wide i can go without having to mini tub it. anyone know how much backspacing ill also need??

I don't know much about the older Camaros, but I know you can run 315's on the 4th gen cars with a 11" rim. I run 275's with a 9" rim and I could easilly go up!

my problem right now is that when i have 3 other people in the car w/me the tire will ocassionally rub the inner wheel well on the outside with an 8 wide wheel with 4.5 backspacing

Have you tried beating up the lip of the fenderwell with a mallet?

yea ive already done that. it dosent make any contact there, its about 3/4 the way upthe wheel well
