holley power valve help

does anyone know if you go up on the jets or down when putting a power valve block off plate heres what my motor has in itron.mustangii.net

Usually, when you remove a power valve that you might have needed, you'd go up on the jet size. You can experiment with which work best(I have a jet kit, maybe you don't) and choose those you prefer.

Aside from that, if you keep your car the way it is in the pics and your engine is a 308(seems to be), your air filter is too small and your carb is too big, but that's just my opinion. If you race with that filter on, remove it and I'd almost bet your ET will improve greatly. I'd think using a 600-650cfm carb would help at least as much as removing that tiny filter.

I like the paint though, and red doesn't really suit me.

thanks for the info,and when i race it i take off the filter,iam going today for test and tune my gole is 12.50 i will see what happens ronnie

i ran it sunday but the wind was bowing 35 mph and only could run the 1/8 mile but my 60ft. pick from a1.93 to a 1.85,iam trying to scan my time slip so i can post it ronnie
