Can a pistol slide be "dipped" ?

I would like to have the slide, and maybe the frame of my P93 chromed. Is it even possible ? KNow anyone that could do it ? If so how much am I lookign at ?

no, its not a bling bling thing. Mine isnt the stainless steel version, so I figured what the hell, make it shiney, and then it wont be so easy for rust to sneek up on ya.

Really, what I want is the KP93D slide to go on my gun. The first pic is what my pistol looks like, the 2nd is the stainless model. The 3rd is what mine would look like with the stailess slide. I really dig the stainless on the black frame (notice the factory stainless version has a gray frame).

Know anywhere I can order just a slide besides from Ruger ?

I'd go stainless, because any plating can affect the clearances and make the gun cycle unreliably
