Yes, that's right.... remember when PNS claimed I wasn't actually in college studying to get a Master's degree.

Not only was I getting a Master's, I now have it. I graduated on Saturday. I was the only distance learning student who graduated this May from the Frank Batten College of Engineering and Technology. My final GPA was 3.71 on a 4.0 scale. That was 5 A's, 3 A-'s, and two B's. Not too shabby.

I'll have my diploma in hand in 6 weeks or so since they mail them out.

Next week I'm moving back to TX and will be job hunting. Oh yah! There's no place like home.

You can even see a video of me graduating if you go to the university's website. They put up a picture and call your name if you are in WA. With all the packing and stuff I have to do right now, travelling coast to coast was out of the question. I have my own copy of the video at home right now, but you can watch it online too.

That sure beats my GED.

I'm happy with my stable (for now) $60k job though, so I don't really regret not getting higher edjukayshun.

How the hell did you pull off a job like that on a GED ?

Congrats Anthony, I bet the thoughts of going home has ya anxious.

He lives in the peoples republic of kalifornia. So, if you take into consideration the cost of living its like a $40k a year job anywhere else.

But hes good at it and he likes it, and thats whats important.

Oh ya, and I think he had alot of luck in landing that job.

I saw that earlier man. I think it's a bunch of crap. I hate to see the Navy push away good people that want to stay in. It's stupid to the nth degree on their part. Heck I know you can run like the wind, so I don't really understand where all of this is coming from. Make sure you see a couple of different doctors. I've personally seen you run 5 miles on a treadmill in 35 minutes or so. That is practically impossible for anyone with asthma. I have a feeling the Navy doctors aren't doing you any favors right now.

Drop by between now and the 18th and have a beer, because after that I'm outta here.

Right place at the right time. I never thought I'd be making anywhere near $60k...It sounds like a lot, but after my $1,400 rent, $600 in car payments, $180/month insurance payments, and all the money that goes to state taxes, there's not a whole lot of cash left over.

Wanna know what's even better than the pay?

I just hope I can KEEP this job.

Congrats on the graduation dude, that hard work will pay you back for the rest of your life. Congratulations also, for getting a 4 sentence reply from Mike, I think it's the longest response this month so far so he must have found this topic verry interesting, lol.

I can sort of relate to what Mike is experiencing right now. An unknown future is never a blessing and he is really at the mercy of the medical review board right now. That has to stink. I'd be seriously bummed too. I bet with all of the appointments he has to go to as well as the business of an uncertain future, he doesn't have time to post or the desire. I'm kind of upset about the whole thing too. The whole situation just doesn't seem right to me.

My destiny is unknown right now, but at least it is my own doing and not someone else's. I did have a good phone interview with the #78 company in the fortune 500 today. They are also one of the 30 companies used to calculate the DJIA too. I'm gonna have a 2nd interview in two weeks when I get back to TX. We'll see. And yes it is a job I want. Pretty good starting pay, excellent location, good company with lots of room for growth, and it is exactly the field I want to move into.

Good luck to ya.
