Not sure, but I read that the car is closer to 6's now. That was supposedly a bad pass due to a bad tune and something about the frame warping. Anyway, that's what I read about it.

Dutweiler ruined Chow's car by putting those turbos through the hood.

You gotta' keep 'em clean looking to keep their mystique.

Anything less would be uncivilized.

I wish I could find a nice clean GNX somewhere. The ones I have seen were pretty pricey!

HOLY SHIT those were both awesome!

I saw a video of the 2nd one trying to launch... Waste of metal, no hook. I'm told that car actually has a small block V8 under the hood, and not the GN's V6. From the sound of it, that's believable.

Here's a video of it hooking! And yes... It is a small block Chevy V8!

I bet that "waste of metal" would spank your flat tired LX! :flip:

I concur with you there vettmeister. I often wonder why the hell he didn't just buy a plain jane regal and mod it like he did. Would've saved him a ton of cash too. His folks must be rich or something.

I'd NEVER bet on such a car. It's FIRST name is "inconsistent." Besides, I have no respect for that car, I don't care if it ran 2's! It's just terrible that someone would remove the GN drivetrain, hence ruining the entire car. For cryin' out loud, hasn't that guy heard of the Monte Carlo? I hope thats what he's butchered, and made to look like a GN. Having destroyed a GN for drag racing just sucks.

PS, I'd race it anyway, just to see if he could catch me after being left sitting on the line.

Whatever! I'm just here to make you think up new excuses for having a broke down POS with a flat tire!
