Just sitting around have a few BEERS with the BOYS minding my own business. When this group of YOUNG GUNS come driving into the show with a 70' White Nova with a 502 Well............... to say the least, they were impressed with themselves. They got out walked around pointing out FLAWS in guys cars and spouting off about how FAST their car was. Anyway, even a MILD MANNERED person like myself can only handle so much. Maybe, it was the BEERS . So I go over to their car and start RAGGING on it. Wasn't long before the BOYS wanted to go play. We went out to a street called San Timento Canyon Road and PLAYED.........

To make a long story longer, they got there ASS handed to them. It wasn't cause their car wasn't fast, just couldn't HOOK like mine did A VERY humbling experience for the BOYS BEAT by an OLD FUCKER with a POS MOPAR

Hey guy, glad to hear you're enjoying the finer things of life. That's priceless.

I also went to a car show (this afternoon). A bud of mine has a fuel injected SBC with aluminum heads and a 951 transaxle in a '84 Porsche. It's blindingly fast, perhaps not as fast as yours, but it is a bottle rocket once it's underway.

It was a Porsche event on a large estate in the Tennessee countryside. I commented that I'd run a Boxter any day in my S2 Cabriolet, which I had at the event, and I said I'd probably lose, but I'd run em.

I asked him if he had any Corvettes messing with him on the highway, but he said the most rewarding encounter was with "those". He pointed to the Boxter contingent, who also was quite impressed with themselves, lol. He said the Boxster drivers will see a poor little 944 out on the highway and they'll try to buzz it. But after 160-mph and looking at the rear end of that 944, they're so pissed they won't even turn their head to look, ha ha ha.

All the best,

Mr. P

Hey 'P',

You're right about the Boxster running out after 160. The best I have had mine up to is 162 and that was according to BOTH speedos. And, mine is the S version. One would think it would do better than that i guess at my age, i don't really need to go MUCH faster

Just look at Ronnie, at age 69 he decided to change the world, and did.

In case you were referring to the Ole Man's ride, that's not a hemi, it's the faster wedge head motor.

The hemi has a reputation, but most of it was built on the back of Richard Petty and the superchargers they use in drag racing. In normally aspirated form, the wedge head motors were AS FAST OR FASTER, and a heck of a lot lighter and reliable (easier to keep in tune). (Petty, by the way, won in a Ford when he drove for Ford, and of course, he beat the best hemi Chrysler could put on the track).

How's that for a Ford guy??? Ole Man, would you please advise?

Hey OLE MAN, that's a 496 cross-ram ain't it?

Oh yeah, a 502 in a 70 nova is DEFINITLEY gonna give you traction problems!

That's not the Ole Man's car. That's the BOY'S car. The one we used to know as B-Body around here.

Ole Man, how's he doing now ?

Tang,

you are right. It is the BOYS car. Somebody ought to drive it . Besides, I think his is faster than mine and hooks a HELL of alot better on the street.

The BOY is still down in New Zealand. He is still mad at his MOM ( the BOSS ). I tried to tell her to stay the FUCK out of his life, butt, you know MOM's . Sooooooooooo, WE (like it is my fault) don't hear alot from him. Personally, I think he will just stay down there. Seems to be having a good time and enjoys the people and the country.

In the mean time, his CARS are just sitting around, so I drive them from time to time. The youngest BOY, doesn't seem to interested in ANY of the cars except the Boxster . All he wants to do is :lick: with all the girls he can, and then around thinking how BAD he is . I really should ask for a DNA test, to make sure he's mine . The ohter BOY is still in the Navy over in Hawaii.

SHIT, I've got CARS, PARTS and MOTORS sitting around and not one BOY to help out or want to go PLAY

I still have that BAD ASS small block 413 sitting on the engine stand, waiting to go in one of the Darts. Just not motivated anymore I guess.

Want motivation, here's how I do it. Don't think about it, stand up, and walk. March your butt into the garage, start working on something, and stay away from the couch

I always feel better when Im working on something. The worst thing about it though, is when I am working, but really want to be working on something else. Now that I'm getting this major honey do it now project out of the way, heh heh, perhaps I'll work on a high powered speedboat next??

tell all your friends you're throwing a party, a back yard cook-out, and they have to lay rubber in front of the house before they're served.

Mr. P

Posted by: Tang

If you weren't over on the other side of the country, Id be glad to come over and break your cars for ya....

Posted by: Mr. P

I'd be happy just to drive through the front yard a few times.
