Any of you ever had an abdominal CT Scan?

I've had 2 over the past couple weeks. One to detect the Appendicitis, and the other more recent one to see if there was an infection in the incision from the appendectimy.

I hope to God that none of you have to drink that NASTY crap they make you drink before having a CT Scan. Imagine an 8 oz cup of watered down, flat sprite. Now add some chalk, and some soap. Drink 4 of these spaced out over an hour and a half.

I have a friend that works in the E.R. He says that hardly anyone can hold this stuff down. If it comes back up they start all over. I have an iron stomach, and I could hardly hold this stuff down. To make matters worse, I had the worlds loudest vomiter 5 ft from my door. I could hear every little splatter of bile when it hit the floor. He was going on for nearly 4 hours.

And to top it all off, none of the doctors could figure out what was wrong with me. They sent me home at 4:30 in the AM.

I'm going to sign up with Aflac now. I found out that I could get paid $150 every time I have to have a CT Scan. Next time I have to drink that nasty fluid, I'll just be thinking, "They're paying me $150 to drink this crap. They're paying me $150 to drink this crap."

I hope your last 2 weeks were better than mine. Cause mine sucked.

I swear that doctors have an easier to do checks like that, but I somehow think they like to make people 'sweat' more than they need to just to entertain themselves.
