BFG G-force TA drag radial in the 265/40/18 size anyone runnung?

My 99 Corvette is mostly stock and I am looking for a few more tenths. would this be a good tire to run? What are some of the plus and minus's if any?

Throw that 295 on there.

I've talked to several Vette owners with that tire on their car.

They hook like a mofo.

Bad thing is...They hook because they're soft. That means they wear out pretty damm quick. If you get 2 years out of them, then you must not be driving it!!!

Looked at the 295 and considering that size... I am a little concerned about breaking an output shaft with DR's, so I am hoping a little smaller width will offset my worries. Its likely that this is not the case but it makes me feel a little better...

Don't worry about it. Get the 295's, they look great.

You don't have to drop the pressure down to the 12 psi minimum if you don't want to. Run them at 20psi first, and see what you think about them.
