I am putting a 406 small block in a 84camaro.I am having trouble getting headers to fit.I am wanting to put long tube headers on it.Has anyone got a suggestion on what name brand will fit.

I know hookers will fit, though there are some clearance problems w/ the manual trannys.

You did not say whether you are trying to set up a true dual exhaust, but I have used the Hooker Camaro shorties on both my '80 and '68 El Camino, and I can not see where I have lost anything compared to full-length headers.

The '80 is a blown and injected 355 and the '68 is a N/A Motown 415 small block. Both pull @ 500 h.p. (give or take).

I have had good results with this set-up. You might try it.

Thanks for the input.I used a set of hooker super comp headers.They fit perfect.Hope to get my car to the track soon.
