Well, I finally pinpointed the cause of that annoying buzzing sound thats been coming from under my car for the past few weeks. At first I thought it was the heatshields coming loose. So I drove it up on ramps and put the back end up on jackstands. I poked and proded around, removed a couple small heatshields from various places. And that got rid of some of the rattle. But most of it was still there. So I had a friend give it a little gas while I listened to it by the muffler. Yep thats what it was. I guess some of the baffles inside came loose. Everytime I give it a little gas, it rattles. And when I realy get on it, it gets very loud. And it feels like its causing some extra back pressure. So I called summit and they said it has a 1 year warranty. But I have to send it out to them before they send me a new one. Since I welded it, I have to cut it off. Im thinking of just running my car around straight out of the ypipe, or sticking a bullet muffler under there in the mean time. Oh well, shit breaks, cant do much about that.

bullet muffer sounds good. Got one in conjunction w/ my flowmaster. I can say though that running just a bullet w/ a turndown is way fucking loud. not to mention all the fumes you get.

Yeah, thats what I was thinking. But I kinda figured it be almost the same as having a cutout. Maybe Ill just leave it parked untill I get the new one in.

Mike T is a pro when it comes to the sounds of mufflers. Especially that "ching ching grrrrrrr ching" sound they make while dragging on the road.
