I wouldn’t have expected you to sink that low Mr. P. The fact is Kerry did serve in Vietnam. Bush periodically served in the Air Guard or Reserve ( I can’t remember which) at his convince and his military service records seem to be missing. And Cheney had how many deferments? Think what you want about Kerry’s politics but he did serve and he did save another man’s life no matter what the circumstances were. As for his nose up some billionaire’s ass, couldn’t the same be said about Bush and his wealthy contacts? Kerry married well but was independently wealthy before he got married. The Hinze family earned their fortune. Bush’s buddy Kenny Boy stole his money from ten’s of thousands of working class people wiping out their retirement savings by continuing to tell them to by stock in ENRON even though he knew the company was going in the tank.

Mr.P

How does bushs missing millitary records discredit anything?

At least kerry actually served.... Oh snap.

im sure they Knew..and condoned enron.. im sure they made a little scratch off the whole mess too!

and there ARE NO good things about the current administration.

as for this bead you speak of... like the bead they had on clinton over lewinsky?

They took out theyre rifles....got him in theyre sights... turned the gun around and shot themselves in the face on that one...

and yeah theyve got a chance. a realllllll good one.

P says

"I honor the fact that Kerry served in Viet Nam, yes I do. However I do not honor the fact that he is NOW (out of convenience) using that to get his way once again. As soon as he got back from Viet Nam, he immediately used that fact to get into office. He's an ambitious opportunist, like it or not. "

Or is it the fact that Bush and Cheney couldn't use their or beter said, lack of military experience to use to their advantage? I seem to remember Bush Sr used his military service to his advantage in his elections. Is that wrong?

P says

"The fact that he was in Viet Nam doesnt' mean he wasn't an asshole over there (too). The fact that he was in Viet Nam doesn't mean he didn't get some of his buddies killed due to the way he behaved either. I'm not going there, but it's clear, the guy will do or say ANYTHING to get his way. It's a clear case of flip-flop to whichever story gives him an advantage, and that's near impossible to counter with an argument."

You know for a fact Kerry was as you say an ass hole in Vietnam? Were you there? Did you serve under him? Did you command him? And doesn't any politician do anything they can to get elected? There have been many examples of Bush and Cheney flip flopping.
And about young men being killed under Kerry's command, if you didn't want to go there, why bring it up at all? You did bring it up.

P says

"As for Bush, bringing him into the argument using the Air Guard, bringing Cheney's health issues into the argument, and the mere thought that Bush or Cheney condoned or knew about what Kenny boy was doing at Enron just discredits your argument. Cheney has no fewer than 6 meetings with Lay and you don't think energy matters ever came up? Why electricity rates were skyrocketing? Brownouts and rolling blackouts in the west?

And if Cheney's health was the issue keeping him out of the military, why wasn't he permenently classified as being unable to serve instead of having to get additional defements? And wasn't his last deferment a family not medical deferment?

As for the good things in this administration, so far the half-truths, un-truths, secrecy, and lack of credibility are a concern to many people. You're right, it's going to get ugly before this is over. And you may not like the way it's going to turn out.

Your quip about Edwards will try to sue Cheney. If trial lawers are so bad why has Bush and Dashel both retained trial lawers?

IMSA, how about trying to AVOID bringing up our president or vice president in a thread, simply because you can. It's not only getting old, but your lack of knowledge is beginning to piss people off. At VERY least, get educated BEFORE ranting. At this point, admitted or not, you're UNeducated where politics are concerned, and more still where those running for president of this great nation are concerned.

Markus... For a change, SHUT UP KID! You don't know ANYTHING real about America, except what you learn here. You don't have a clue about our elected officials, save the fact they're much better than anything Canada can claim having currently. You're just another stupid drunkin kid, looking to add a point of view that doesn't have a point TO view. Shut it, boy... "Oh snap!" You piss everybody off because we already know you'll never be anything more than an intellectually challenged drunkard. Sad part is, you aren't capable of understanding that truth yet(or you'd change it).

That would be your president and vice president Grape Ape, and for education, that would be 4 years + 2=Master's Degree. And your education?

I'll translate the rest of your drivel. For you being pissed off probably has something to do with someone challenging you views and you haven't been able to raise a valid argument yet, but then again I wouldn't expect you to be able to.

I love this part of your post to Marcus "intellectually challenged drunkard". Were you looking in a mirror when you came up with that brilliant line?

Semi-retired and under 40. I don't need a 6yr master's degree, thanks. And for the record, Bush is indeed YOUR president too, even if your "higher education" doesn't permit you the ability to realize it.

Btw, talk about not being able to raise a valid point, amount of classroom time means nothing about the issues of politics. Even someone with a masters degree should be able to figure that out.

First, you are no challenge to me. Not mentally, physically, or otherwise. My not being able to raise a valid argument is absolutely absurd, even stupid. Got this from my dad he is having second thoughts about voting his usual straight Dem ticket leaning twards Bush so how much of this is true??

Following is a brief backround on Mrs. John Kerry . She hates being
called that, by the way:

Maria Teresa Thiersten Simoes-Ferreira Heinz Kerry. Married Senator
Kerry in 1995. She only took his name eighteen months ago and she is an
"interesting" paradox of conflicts.

If you thought John Kerry was scary, he doesn't hold a candle to
his wife! Maria Teresa Thiersten Simoes-Ferreira Heinz Kerry was born in
Mozambique, the daughter of a Portuguese physician, was educated in
Switzerland and South Africa. Fluent in five languages, she was working
as a United Nations interpreter in Geneva in the mid-60's when she met a
"handsome" young American, H. John Heinz, III, who worked at a bank in
Geneva. He told her his family was "in the food business."

They were married in 1966 and returned to Pittsburgh where his
family ran the giant H. J. Heinz food company. He was elected to the US
House of Representatives in 1971, and in 1976 he was elected to the
first of three terms in the United States Senate. A Republican, he wrote
a burning diatribe against some of the causes backed by young House
member John Kerry.)

Several years later, in 1991, he was killed when his plane collided
with a Sun Oil Company helicopter over a Philadelphia suburb. The
senator, his pilot and copilot, and both of Sun's helicopter pilots were
killed. He was survived by his wife, Teresa, and their three young sons.

Four years later, having inherited Heinz's $500 million fortune,
she married Senator John Forbes Kerry, the liberal then-junior senator
from Massachusetts. She became a registered Democrat and the process of
her radicalization was set in motion.

Heinz Kerry is not shy about telling people that she required Kerry
to sign a prenuptial agreement before they were married. John Kerry may
not have check writing privileges on the Heinz catsup and pickle
fortune, but he is certainly a willing and uncomplaining beneficiary of it.

A lot of hard-earned money, made through many years of hawking
catsup, mustard, and pickles has fallen into the hands of two people who
despise successful entrepreneurship and who believe in the confiscatory
redistribution of wealth.

So how does Mrs. Heinz Kerry spend John Heinz's money?
Just one example:

According to the G2 Bulletin, an online intelligence newsletter of
WorldNetDaily, in the years between 1995-2001 she gave more than $4
million to an organization called the Tides Foundation. And what does
the Tides Foundation do with John Heinz's money?

They support numerous antiwar groups, including Ramsey Clark's
International Action Center. Clark has offered to defend Saddam Hussein
when he's tried.

They support the Democratic Justice Fund, a joint venture of the
Tides Foundation and billionaire hate-monger George Soros. The
Democratic Justice Fund seeks to ease restrictions on Muslim immigration
from "terrorist" states.

They support the Council for American-Islamic Relations, whose
leaders are known to have close ties to the terrorist group, Hamas.

They support the National Lawyers Guild, organized as a communist
front during the Cold War era. One of their attorneys, Lynne Stewart,
has been arrested for helping a client, Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman,
communicate with terror cells in Egypt. He is the convicted mastermind
of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

They support the "Barrio Warriors," a radical Hispanic group whose
primary goal is to return all of Arizona, California, New Mexico, and
Texas to Mexico.

These are but a few of the radical groups that benefit, through the
anonymity provided by the Tides Foundation, from the generosity of our
would-be first lady, the wealthy widow of Republican senator John Heinz,
and now the wife of the Democratic senator who aspires to be the 44th
President of the United States.

Aiding and supporting our enemies is not good for America,
regardless of your political views.

If voters will open their eyes, educate themselves and see the real
Teresa Heinz Kerry, they will not appreciate her position as ultra rich
fairy godmother of the radical left. They will not want to imagine her
laying her head on a pillow each night inches away from the President of
the United States.

Hopefully they love this country enough to decide that the only way
these two will ever be allowed into the White House is with an engraved
invitation in hand.

Instead of deleting this, pass it on. Let everyone know these
people are unfit to represent this great nation. The uninformed will
never hear the truth from the press, who wants Kerry elected!

Which lies would that be stupid asshole? You're going to have to knock the Iraq-yellow cake-Niger one off your list. Both the Senate AND the British have investigated that one thoroughly, Bush and Blair were right all along. The big liar in that affair was that Wilson fool that all you demoncrats believed.

Posted by: IMSA

Who or what is the "Iraq-yellow cake-Niger"?

IMSA

Posted by: TNT

So Enron gives huge amounts of money to both demoncrats and republicans, to keep influence no matter who is in office. They commit their criminal acts during the clinton administration and are ignored. They get caught after Bush is in office, and are facing prosecution for their crimes. But you want to blame Bush for what Lay did?

Pull your head out of your ass, I've got access to a forklift if it's stuck.

Posted by: IMSA

Wasn't Lay one of Bush's largest political money contributors not only personally donating millions of dollars to both Bush’s campaigns, but raising millions more? I never heard Clinton refer to Lay as Kenny Boy.

Woops, wrong company.

IMSA

Posted by: TNT

He also gave money to clinton and former governor davis here in CA. the thing you seem to be too stupid to comprehend is that it doesn't mean anything.

No matter how much Lay gave to Bush, there's one thing he'll never buy off of him..............a pardon. That's the difference between Republicans and demoncrats, we believe in the law.

Do the names Marc Rich or Global Crossing ring any bells?

You know much less about politics, certainly American politics, than you do about being sober. Stop trying to call the election when you CAN'T even get the real news. I'm not familuar with Canadian news. How much information do you get from the BBC? I would think the BBC would be a fairly credible and unbias source regarding US politics since it's probably not influenced as some US news sources are such as FOX, MSNBC and other news outlets. But then again it would make a difference where the BBC got it's in formation from. Who knows. November can't get here fast enough in my opinion so we don't have to listen to the political ads from either party for another couple of years

I don't understand "have finishing twisting" because, clearly, that's improper to say the least. The fact you misspelled "liking" and used "It's I don't" is also questionable. For clarity, you should've added "that" between it's and I. Not to mention "you're" was misused. Those things made me think you must have been drinking. I know you're smarter than that in general.

Four glaring errors and you wonder why I asked... funny enough... Then to think you asked what's wrong with it in a disparaging manner is funnier still. Way to go, college boy!

Your spelling and general grammar aren't terrible. However, they're hardly indicative of a college graduate, or even a high school graduate(of the 80's), much less someone who holds a masters degree.
