You’re absolutely right! It says if I’m elected credibility will be restored in the White House.

Yep, I agree with IMSA...

Posted by: TNT

Since when does LYING = credibilty?

Posted by: IMSA

You mean the lies coming out of the Bush administration? I never said they were credible.

IMSA

Posted by: TNT

No, the constant lies coming from Skerry.

First he's for abortion, then against. Voted for the war, then against. Claims military service is NOT something that should be considered in voting for a president, then claims it's necessary.

One cannot hold completely opposite beliefs on the same issue. So for every flip flop, one position is real and the other is a lie. The hard part is picking which is which.

TNT Says

"One cannot hold completely opposite beliefs on the same issue. So for every flip flop, one position is real and the other is a lie. The hard part is picking which is which."

Lets talk about flip flops.

Bush Flip-Flops on Independent 9/11 Commission

Bush Flip: Initially Opposed to Independent 9/11 Commission
Bush opposed an independent inquiry into 9/11, arguing it would duplicate a probe conducted by Congress. In July 2002, his administration issued a "statement of policy" that read "...the Administration would oppose an amendment that would create a new commission to conduct a similar review [to Congress's investigation]." [Statement of Administration Policy, Executive Office of the President, 7/24/02; LA Times, 11/28/02]
Bush Flop: Bush Relented and Appointed Independent Commission
President Bush finally agreed to support an independent investigation into the 9/11 attacks after "the congressional committees unearthed more and more examples of intelligence lapses, the administration reversed its stance." [Los Angeles Times, 11/28/02]

And Cheney

<snip>from CNBCs “CAPITAL REPORT,” JUNE 17, 2004)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You have said in the past that it was, quote, “pretty well confirmed”...
RICHARD CHENEY, VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES: No, I never said that.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: OK. I think that is...
CHENEY: I never said that. Absolutely not. What I said was the Czech intelligent service reported after 9/11 that Atta had been in Prague on April 9 of 2001, where he allegedly met with an Iraqi intelligence official. We have never been able to confirm that, nor have we been able to knock it down.<Snip>

<Snip> NBC “MEET THE PRESS,” DECEMBER 9, 2001)
CHENEY: It‘s been pretty well confirmed that he (Atta) did go to Prague and he did meet with a senior official of the Iraq intelligence service in Czechoslovakia last April, several months before the attack.<Snip>

Well? I don't think you really want to get on this flip flop issue thing do you? There's going to be lots of quotes coming out when the 9-11 Commission releases it's findings. And Cheney's having trouble just keeping his stories straight.

You mean the 9-11 commission that's CONFIRMING links between saddam and bin Laden?

So far they've only claimed that there is no proof of a Hussein giving logistical or planning aid for the 9-11 attacks. But they have found quite a few links.

I'd have to google the article I read recently, but it named a high ranking Iraqi that worked with Al Qaeda. A LT Colonel in an elite republican guard unit directly under the command of Uday iirc.

Not to mention the current Zarqawi mess. I've seen several reporters attribute his current success in avoiding coalition capture to two things. 1. He never uses any kind of electronic communications, everything is human messengers with him. 2. His long running connections to former Iraqi Intelligence commanders. They've got the networks in country and are letting him use them. Interesting, an Al Qaeda bigshot with easy access to the former Iraqi regime's intelligence people.

Posted by: IMSA

I've been hearing just the opposit regarding the 9-11 commission that they are finding no links between saddam and bin Laden. Probably depends on which news source one is getting their news from. I guess we will have to see what happens.

WEll I'm getting my news from media organizations that actually talked to commission members. The NY Slimes talked to a couple of flunkies and assistants who topld them what they wanted to hear to get quoted and seem important.

fact is Laden hated saddam more than he does the states...

There are NO TIES.

Let's face it. They're both lying sacks of shit. Pick the one that supports your agenda the closest / or is believed by you to be the lesser of two evils. That's what I always do. For me, the Republicans want to make themselves richer and spend the big bucks on the military. The Democrats want to make themselves richer, shrink our defenses (and seem allot more like France) and increase the handouts to the poorest / laziest portion of our country and also increase that portion of our population.

Yeah. God forbid you help the poor and starving.

The nerve of them!

The problem is Marcus,

the poor have been helped since 1964 and it is now a JOB to them to be poor. They don't want to get off it and work. They would rather sit at home have kids and collect even more $$$$$.

It has to stop sometime. Pretty some there will be more of them (poor) taking money than there are of us PAYING for them.

That's what my point was. I don't mind helping the truly disadvantaged, but when a large portion of our society makes THAT a career, it's time to pull the plug. We help enough. Charity should only supply necessaties until they can get back on their feet. If you need stories to further explain the point, I can go there, later.

Let me get this strait, You agree with the idea that they should tax the hell out of people who have jobs and work hard to support themselves, and give it to some fat worthless pile of trash who sits on his fat ass all day eating Doritos and watching Ricky Lake waiting for the first of the month to get a check.

Its hard enough to support myself, much less a bunch of unimployed piles of shit,

What the guys said.

Still, many will vote Democrat as if they don't know the situation. That "Anybody but Bush" mentality is a real concern.

What Evil Said.

I vote for Kerry for the role of Lurch in the next Addam's Family movie.

I also think he would make an excellent mortician.
