100 patients die from infections in 18 months. Now thaaaat sounds like such a deal, eh? How would you like to just relax back in your bed, let someone hook up an IV to you, knowing you'd be wheeled off to surgery? I think my Vet has a better infection control record than this.

And apparently some of them don't come back. Word is out, and that's how they control the cost of healthcare. When it looks like everyone is coming in for a checkup, wanting to know what their blood pressure is, and starting to become a pest and cost the government some money, then they just let a few hundred hit the dirt and the papers, and it's easy street for a while longer. Interesting scam, eh?? Hey, it's free too!!!

P, I can't even begin to tell you how fucked up, the health care system is here.
Like I was saying in another post: "you get what you pay for" and if it'd free like it is here in this case, it ain't much. My buddy gashed his thumb open and had to wait 3 fucking hours in the outpatients' dept. while a bunch fat-ass welfare bums, were getting their 'free-gov't-paid-prescription' filled!!!

One thing to point out also. If you have to go to the Emergency, they have 1 doctor on duty and a bunch of yappy nurses that do nothing but piss and moan about the work load. They say they need more staff, but you sit in the waiting room for an hour and see them all standing around talking about what they did on the weekend. If your lucky enough to get there when the doctor is NOT on lunch or break, you'll get to see him within an hour or so. If he's on lunch, you gotta wait till he comes back and then wait somemore until its your turn. Thats the way it is in a small town anyway.

If Markus needs a liver in Canada, no telling what he'll get. It could be a kidney, and one of those nurses might have been the one to pull it out of the refrigerator. It might even have a little freezer burn, ha ha
