Quite a few fires in Cali yesterday. One was in Castaic (in the Grapevine). One in Hayward (near Oakland), and one in the eastern hills of San Jose (Mt. Hamilton), only a couple miles from my home, and pretty close to the Lick Observatory.
The one in Castaic burned 400+ acres in 3 hours. The one near me had burned 800+ acres by the time the 10:00 news reported it last night..
Second only to San Bernardino County, our neighbor
