You can pick up a nice SLR 6MP+ Fuji S1 on ebay for around $600. Or a Canon EOS-d1s 11 MP for only $7,200 (No lens).

Supposedly the best Digicams right now are Canon. I was told that the next generation Digital Cameras will have hexagon shaped pixels, instead of round pixels for even more clarity.

Looks like a pretty nice camera, but I'm not that familiar with Minolta. I like the Fuji's because of their picture quality and price! They are hard to beat for the money!
