I am building a 85 shelby charger dirt circle track race car. 4 cylinder, front drive class. The car builder stripped the computers out and I am trying to figure out how to make it run without them. I am planning on running a Holley 5220 non feedback carb, but I am coming up empty on any non computer ignitions. Mallory makes(made?) a dual point (part#2570901)and a Unilite(part#3770901)distributor. But haven't been able to locate one. Any ideas.
Thanks

There were carbed 2.2's built from '81-'87. You might want to take a look at their distributors and see if you can find one with both a mechanical and vacuum advance. If so, that should work without the computer. If you can't find that, Summit Racing does carry both of the Mallory distributors you're looking for. They're not in the paper catalog, but if you call them and give them the part number they can get you one. As even the dual point one is a bit pricey ($250 plus shipping), you may wish to consider using a computer if class rules allow. Something like the MegaSpark will cost less than the distributors you're looking for, although you will have to solder the computer together yourself. This isn't as hard as it sounds.

Also wondering what wheels will fit this. It has the five bolt 15 inch rims. Would like to run steel rims on the right side. Do they make white spokes for this?

Wondering if anyone could tell me what size tires this would have had originally?

Im almost positive they came with 205-50-15's
edit: I am positive: in 85 from the factory the shelby Charger came with 205/50VR-15 Eagle VR50 tires on the shelby pizza wheels.
