Hey guyz. I am new to this forum but I have a problem which I believe someone who is a member here would be able to help with. About 3 weeks ago I was driving in a thunderstorm and my engine had stalled, I had no response from the accelerator, but then I had gotten the response back...then lost it again. I had pulled over and turned the car off for a moment. I went to turn the car back on 2 mins later and nothing. The car had overheated and Started about 4 hrs later. I was driving home from there when the car crapped out on me again. I had the car towed back to my house and has yet to start for me. I had replaced the coil with a good one. I have checked all of the ignition fuses. I has put some gas in the throttle body with the possibility of bad injectors...still wouldn't start. The engine turns, but no start. There is no spark from the plugs and the battery was just replaced. I drive a 1993 Pontiac Firebird Formula, can someone please help me with my problem.

thnx

Thats my guess, same thing happend to me a few weeks ago to my Z28.
It died while driving home in a bad rainstorm. I finaly got it to start a few minutes later, but ran real rough for the next day. After a while it dried up and runs perfect now. Although since you have the unvented Opti, you might have to get it replaced. Not sure but I think only the 96-97s got the crankshaft position sensor. Check the front cover, there would be a plug coming out from it where the crank is.
