If you get sick of chasing your opti-spark problems and changing your friggin expensive cap/rotor, not to mention the trouble of changing it try this...
www.delteq.com
a little expensive up front but cheaper than two cap changes, and no more OptiCrap problems! I have not personally used this setup YET but I am helping my friend transplant his LT1 from his 94 9C1 Caprice to a 70 Caprice wagon and will be using this ignition setup...I'll post info about it when it's running if anyone's interested.

Aren't the two years different opti wise?

Yep, 92-94 is a nonvented setup, and the pin drive is a different lenght from the 95-97. The delteq is a very good setup, I may go with that in the future. I does away with the rotor and cap. That is what craps out on an LT1 99% of the time they fail. It still utilizes the optical sensor, but that usualy never fails. They are also developing a system that does away with the whole thing in the near future. MSD just released their own cap and rotor for LT1s.

Also if you have an Ignition box, it will tear up the factory Optis very quickly from the increased energy.
