No more crawling under the car to open the cutout at the track thanks to this little jewel:

Switching from through the muffler to wide open exhaust can now be done at the flick of a switch from inside the car. It fits in place of the interchangable plates in my Borla catback or also works with regular cutouts like the one in the pic.

Only took about an hour to install. For any of you guys who have a cutout or a Borla this is a great investment!

lets see what you think in 3 months when you get to replace it.

I would love to get one, but everyone with one that I have talked to has had to replace parts of it (or the whole thing ) within a few months

too much heat / vibration

I read mixed reviews over at LS1tech. Some members had trouble with them but several others have been using them for a long time with no problems. If this thing lasts for a year I'll be happy. And even if the motor does go out, its $30 to get it fixed and 10 minutes of work to re-install it.

good luck, I hope to hear a good review in the future

I have a 3" cut out just like the one in the pic (minus the electric opener), that I had bought for my Camaro and never got it installed. Reminds I gotta find something to do with it.

I just have a 3.5" cutout without the opener. Have you put it on yet? Any leak by noise? My buddy has one, (QTP) and it creeps off fully seated all the time.

Posted by: EvilLS1

There's a trick to shutting it all the way. If you just hold down the button the motor will let the plate bounce back a little and it'll leak. The trick is to just bump the button a couple of times after you close it. It'll still leak a little but its not really noticible.

Got them on my Chevelle. You are right about tapping the switch to close them. Had them a couple months now, still working fine.

Chevelle sounds nice!

Thanks. Yours sounds absolutely great. Not bad lookin either. I wish my Firebird was even half what yours is.

Posted by: EvilLS1

Thank you.

Posted by: Mykdiver

Does it creep off of the fully seated positon?

Posted by: EvilLS1

Maybe a little, but its not noticible.

Posted by: Mykdiver

That is good, due to the fact that I am thinking of getting one.

Posted by: EvilLS1

I think you'll like it. Beats the hell outta crawling under the car.
