honestly....

you turn on the rock station and you hear this piddly MTV punk crap, and these "rock" or "metal" bands who are prettier than most girls and all the "pop" music thats out... 13/14 year old KIDS are ruling the radio and making millions off their crap cookie cutter music.

Dont even get me started on "rap"

makes me wish i was old enough to rock out in the 80's in L.A.

There's allot of good music out there, old and new, the stations around here just aren't playing it though.

very seldom do I listen to a radio just cds that way i control my ears !!!

I almost always listen to the classic rock station at work. Sure they play the same songs I've been hearing for years, but it still beats that new crap.

BTW they play GnR nowdays. None of the "rock" stations will though.

That's why I don't listen to the radio! If you like 80's metal... check out Impellitteri, Balance of Power or Rob Rock. They still have the 80's feel with awesome guitar work! I usually listen to stuff like that or 80's music or some good old death / doom / black metal!

Sigh. It seems music is written by focus groups these days. I can't help but think of Jack Black's "Stick it to The Man" tirade from School of Rock.

I usually go with CD's for my driving. Sometimes you get a good song on the radio you've never heard, but too often it's boring DJ's or mass market nonsense. And you'll never hear Dream Theater or Project Pitchfork on the radio.

well, yea i always have CD's in on the car... thank god for 6 disc changers...

but the fact i cant find a radio station that plays any good music that is new sucks...

every station is the same crap.

All we have around here is about 100 country music stations, 100 spanish music stations, a few that play crap from the 80s. And 1 classic rock station.
So CDs are pretty much mandatory. Luckily enough we still dont have and rap stations.

Music ................. will always be music. Music is right for every generation in the era. CD's people, don't blame it on the band or the station or the 13 and 14 year old punk kids.

there is nothing in todays world that will be looked back on when we are in our 40s and 50s and say "wow thats a classic song"

oh yea, when i'm 55 i'm gonna listen to the oldies station and the great music of Lil Jon and Britney spears.
