engine mounts

I was swaping mounts off a 1976 360 block onto a 318 block and while putting them on I noticed a gap on the back part where you bolt it on...should there be any. What I mean is- The mount bolts on with the two front bolts(one high, and one Low) And then there is the one in the back. The gap is between the mount and where the bolt is. When I tighten the bolt it brings the mount close and fits but I am not sure if it is supposed to be like that.

Yep, the mounts are a little different. Fill the gap with washers.

the 318 block I am putting in my charger temporary came out of a truck and had a 8 1/2'' deep panso I tried to put the one off of the 76 with the different pickup tube(which was 6 1/2'' deep) and the pan was hitting the connecting rod-what kind of oil pan will work? thanks

I'm not really good on small blocks and I'm getting OLD and frogetfull. However, I do know a 340 pan will not bolt on to a 360 block. Not sure about the 318.
