Why?

I just saw an article in the paper that showed a car that supposed to run on compressed air. This lead me to think "why?..."

... is it that everytime car companies design an alternative fuel car they make it look fuckin gay? Is it possible to design a car thats fuel efficient and DOSEN'T look like something Richard Simmons would ensorse?

Seriously, how do they expect to ever sell these things that no self respecting hetero would never be caught dead in? If I was in the market for a cheap, economical car I sure as hell wouldn't want one that screams "look at me I'm a pussy!"

I'm thinking this thread may offend Mr. P.

Anyway, look at the bright side... if you ever had a flat, you could just crank it up and pump up the tire!

Well, I sir for one, agree with you. However I think it is a government conspiracy to make these vehicles, to say they did but really don't want us to buy them.... then maybe its aliens from another planet hoping we will kill ourselves on our own fumes!!... okay well maybe not but those cars do look rediculously gay.

Just for grins, I ran the plates on this character, and he's one of the alltime tree-hugging-bowtie-wearing-treehugging-Sierra-Club-action-intellectuals of all time. Kinda like Jay only a little smarter.

When considering an alternative fueled vehicle why is it that well to wheel efficiency isn't really presented to the general public? I mean that compressed air or electricity or whatever is being used needs to be produced somehow, and that usually means just as much or more nonrenewable resources being used.

This is true, but I guess people think electricity and such come from no where.

I wonder how much one's electric bill would go up if they drove an electric car?

none of them are good looking... if they made a decent one that is cheap, i'd get one as a daily driver
