It's just too bad the masses of CALI don't have your wisdom OLE MAN... Well, except that little MOPAR issue.

But as long as Bush wins, I don't care if he only gets 270!

Is Cali even a contest anymore? Watching the Election last night about 9PM they called Cali for Kerry. Who was the last Rep. to take Cali, Regan?

Posted by: Grape Ape

The last Republican to take CA was ARNOLD!

I don't remember, but I thought Bush 41 actually won CA in 1988. Reagan certainly didso in '84 though.

Well the funny part is,
"CALIFORNIA DOSEN'T MATTER ANY MORE"

Even though they have a massive electoral vote, and think they're God's gift to the rest of the country, the last two elections were decided "without" California even coming into play, ha ha ha, as it should be until they clean up their game.

One of the local radio stations here had a poll about whether Australian's thought the US "got it right". Almost 90% said no... yet, just a few weeks ago, those same people voted in our Prime Minister for a 4th term!

Politics... I'll never understand it.

Of course you know, radio stations screen the calls and only put those schmoos on who say what the program directors (and advertisers) want to hear.

Any thought that 90% of the Austrailians are informed enough to know what they're talking about with US politics is laughable, because 90% of the Americans aren't that well informed.

The poll was done via SMS (cell phone text message) and admittedly the demographic would be made up of 18-35 yo people.

In regards to how informed the Aussie public is, you'd be surprised. We had two (out of 5) channels running direct US telecasts yesterday and Australians take a fair bit of notice due to our close ties.

I'd dare say there would be a pretty high percentage of Aussies who at least knew who the candidates were in the US. Pretty sure not many Americans would be able to say the same about the Aussie election. (Not that anyone really needs to care. )
