I think you'll be safe! Lets keep our fingers crossed that Florida doesn't f' up again this year!

Posted by: Grape Ape

I doubt they have all of Broward county, or the other large city areas even close to completely counted. However, the gap is apparently spreading out... Plus he just passed Kerry in Ohio, and that's a GOOD thing!

It appears to me, Castor and Kerry will lose Florida. Once that's taken care of, if Ohio holds out, this "race" is all but over for Kerry. Problem is, most votes aren't counted yet.

I just heard(as I typed) that Bush has a big lead with 95% of the Tampa area votes being counted. It's looking better all the time.

Projected Electoral Votes(EV) currently
Bush: 156
Kerry: 112

Bush is getting his butt kicked though, in PA.

Posted by: TNT

If he holds Ohio and FL he doesn't need PA. But Skerry needs all three to win.

The only close ones left are AZ, CO, and Hawaii. AZ is most likely Bush's, Skerry most likely will edge out in Hawaii. CO is a wild card with that stupid ballot measure.

I think it is BS that they release any information regarding the status of votes until every single vote has been counted and booths closed.

Posted by: TNT

So do I. But short of locking ever reporter in prison for 24 hours I don't see any way to shut them up.

They just all want to be the first. They always do!

Posted by: No Rice Allowed

getting closer in Florida....only 170,573 votes seperate Bush from Skerry

Posted by: Grape Ape

Bush has nearly a 300,000 lead now from what I just saw, and that's with 80% precincts reporting. He's hanging on(52-47).

Posted by: Grape Ape

Oh, and the EV is 193-112, been growing in favor of Bush for awhile now. If he locks FL from here, that goes to 220... Add Ohio and Kerry is in REAL trouble. Thank God!

Imsa has been quiet tonight......

Not just Florida though... Thanks to the states who plucked the peacocks from Senate of other states during the RE-election of our great President!!! Folks, George W. Bush IS a leader we can trust!

Anyawy, I'm glad I could help, and glad most of Florida saw it as I did.

Way to go, FL!!

Trust is a funny word. Lets see, (Insert MMC member name here) walks into George Ws office and has a meeting/interview. Said MMC member leaves after a set time. How long before you start to leave/Step out the door, before that prez, thinks to himself, what a pathetic waste of space? I am lucky he had enough sense to figure out how to vote for me. (Same question if Kerry had won)

It's just funny to me, people arguing and fighting over their belief of what type of person a certain candidate is and that they stand behind every decision that candidate makes/will make when they have not even spent and quality time, well time at all, or let alone even met them.

Think of the person you trust the most (relatives/spouses excluded), most people wouldn't even argue let alone fight over a contrary belief of that person, yet they will do that over a complete stranger with the only facts coming 2nd and 3rd hand from News sources that of course wouldn't lean one way or the other, I mean these same news sources that bring you the live coverage of a hurricane and are standing in some rain acting like they are about to be blown away yet the trees behind them stand motionless etc.

A simple, I think so and so would be a better suited for office as I tend to agree with most or at least some of his views (whether it will actually be carried out or not who knows) compared to the other guy which I disagree with the majority or even some of his views etc etc would seem a smarter choice of words.

We don't know everything.

Think about it.

No we need speed bumps instead...To make sure the traffic jam is going way slower than it already is.....

Posted by: MikeT

what does the rail cost? wasn't it like FOUR BILLION? I've never had trouble travelling from gainesville to miami so it seems like a huge waste. I mostly stay away from the big cities now anyways so screw the rest of ya. You can wait in traffic, I dont care

Posted by: No Rice Allowed

Yeah, but it wouldn't have been built until a few years from now...A decade maybe...As many people we gain yearly here in Florida, You'd probably be wishing for it badly in the future....Which now will take that much longer...and more traffic we have to put up with...If they built it from Tampa to Daytona..It would pay for itself in the long run....But it has to do 300mph though, not 10....

Posted by: Tang

How does that work ? At 300mph, does the railroad crossing things come down when you are like 5 miles away ?
