I have a 85' Corvette and im not too satisfied with the original stock sound comming from the mufflers. I want a deep and agressive tone that is noticed. I would like somthing a little louder as well. Any suggestions?

just about any aftermarket exhaust will sound a bit louder. If you want LOUD go w/ borla or flowmaster. If you want louder, but not too damn loud dynomax usually makes nice systems for a good price.
I don't have any experince with any othe brands.
Of course, there is always the redneck approach. It involves a sawzall and has the added benefit of some weight reduction...

Definately aftermarket mufflers. My cousins 85 Vette has the factory mufflers on it with a gutted cat, and its pretty loud just like that.

Yea, i think i may get some straight pipes and just put somthing on them to quit them a bit, i forget what they are called. Either that or ill just gut out my cat.

Definately gutt you cat man. I was surprised at the difference in sound from just that. A real deep rumble.

I replaced my cat w/ a dynomax bullet muffler. Gave it a much smoother sound. Before it made that annoying popping sound on deceleration.

i put new headers on and a straight cat, sounds great, thanks guys

Get a 292 duration cam with little overlap, a set of Motown 220 heads, and a Weiand 177. That should make your tone even deeper.
Sorry, I can't help myself. It's just my usual approach to things......
(Seriously, the headers and cat are a good start. Now fix the pipes from the cat back)
