Yeah they just announced 500hp and 480trq and Its been confirmed, So we might be able to take on a zo6, zo6 has 505 hp and 470trq but weighs 500lbs less then the cobra. zo6 does like a 11.7 theres no word on the qrt of the shelby but its gonna be in the high 11 low 12 range I estimate a 12 flat. Tune up the psi on the supercharger switch out the pully and prob hit mid low 11. 20k less then a z06 too, but lets see how much dealerships add to the sticker when demand gets high, z06 base is like 65k dealers asking 75k,85k, and so on depending were you live, imagine what they'll want for a drop top shelby gt500,lol...

The SHELBY GT500 is listed at a weight of 3,920 lb dry. That's easily close to 1,000 heavier than the ZO6(3,147 is the highest weight I've seen for that- full of fluids). I think the Mustang will prove more powerful and make more torque, but it won't be enough to run with a ZO6. A few small mods will get it there for sure... In the 1/4 mile. Aside from that particular arena, it will almost surely be nothing but MEAT for a ZO6 to eat up. It's too heavy and unbalanced to compete on anything like a road course and you can bet it won't be as fast up top.

Base on the ZO6 as I read it was 68K. The price for the new pony hasn't been released. It won't be more than 46K I'd think, but I doubt it will be under 42K either. As for markup, shortlived sums it up. There will initially be those dealers... The same ones still sitting on a GT, but by and large, these cars were meant to sell. The last Cobra had a markup in many dealerships and that didn't last long either.

It will be 20k less then a Z06 and swap out the pullies and do somethings here and there it should hold up pretty good against a car 20k more , and the Z06 has the same supply and demand problem the shelby will, all and all theres gonna be another fast car i wont be able to afford but will be glad to see on the road knowing it has american heritage like the vette and thats all that matters to me.
