The Subaru...

Mods?... none (it's all too hi-tech for an old bloke like me!)

The 910 Datsun...

Mods?... CBF typing. Let's just say not much of it is 910 Datsun anymore!

They look nice and clean; I know not all are 'rice'

As has been said, it's the attitude of some, not all, of the owners. It's the kid with the 90hp grocery getter who says his fart can and APC intake add 20hp or so. Somewhere on this site is a definition of 'rice'. I once saw a kid do it with a '76 Toyota Corolla

Hey Skeez... sorry to put a damper on it but, unfortunately, that's got to be the worst thing GM-H has ever built here. The VN Commodore really is a POS car and you can grab them for not much more than scrap value! I'm afraid earlier ones and later ones are all better than the VN. Looks can be deceiving!

If you really wanted one, you'd be in heaven at the local scrap yards here... no shortage of them, or parts for them

That sucks. I guess GM quality has gone to shit all the way around it seems.

BTW, does a 308 share the same bolt pattern as an SBC?

307 (and 350, for that matter) bolt straight in to where the crumby 308 lives In a car like my old Monaro, a HK 1969, you could bolt up anything from a 161ci to a 350ci, and everything in between. Mine was a 350

I say "crumby" as the 308 had the capacity but mate, the 307's would clobber them in the same state of modification and the same car!
