Is that the shuttle that New York is getting? I'm still kind of pissed about that, New York gets a shuttle when they had very little if not nothing to do with the space program, but Houston doesn't get one at all.

I never heard "New York, we have problem"

New York has a lot to do with NASA, for one Finance...New York is the Financial Hub of America...without money for Science, NASA doesn't Fly...and the USS Intrepid in which the Enterprise will rest on, made history with the Gemini 3 capsule....The way I see it, New York deserves a bit of joy after 9-11....How often does that part of the world get to share a piece of Space history?

Houston fell short on a bid for a shuttle....and from articles like the one below...It didn't Help Houston win a bid much...

http://waynehale.wordpress.com/2011...-get-a-shuttle/

Technically, New York isn't getting a SPACE shuttle, but more of A Glider Shuttle..Enterprise never made it into Space...

I don't care about what that article says. Houston is the center of the whole damn space program. Hell, our baseball team is named the Astros. 9-11 doesn't give New York first dibs on anything. Again, I never heard the phrase "New York, we have a problem?

Well I guess technically we do have a space shuttle, or whats left of one.

But anyway, I got to see that sight first hand, The shuttle flew piggy back right over Ellington Field, which is about 3 miles from my house. It was one of the coolest things I have ever seen.

History should be more important in this instance. Seriously, how can you argue against the location of mission control not getting a shuttle?

Oh dont get me wrong, I see your side and Houston played a Huge part....but I'm not at all up in arms to see New York get one...As a matter of fact, Houston can have Atlantis in my eyes....I've seen enough Space Shuttle launches and if they sent it to Wyoming, I'd say, "great"......Gives more people a chance to see it as well....I just think Money had a lot to do with where they were placed....I don't think all rare American cars should end up in Detroit...Let others enjoy it....that's my point.....

With the commercial space programs, and the end of the shuttle, it looks like NASA may be circling the bowl.
