A ton of stereo stuff that if I listed, no one would have a clue what I was talking about

Alright then...

I have a Polk Audio dB3065 Component Set up front. They have a 1 inch silk dome teweeter with a 6.5 inch woofer.

I have a set of of Polk Audio dB6500 6.5 inch Components in the rear.

Behind the driver's seat, in a box that is a tad too big for teh truck, I have a dB124 12 inch subwoofer. I had a 10 inch but that tore the spider. So I had to replace it.

The head unit is a Kenwood eXcelon KAC-X858. Attached to that is a Kenwood eXcelon KDC-CX87 10 disc changer. The whole shebang is powered by a Kenwood eXcelon KAC-X650D 5 channel amplifier running ~1200 watts. The whole thing is wired up with StreetWires power cables, power distribution blocks, and fuses. Interconnects are StreetWires ZeroNoise 6.0 interconnects and the speaker wire is StreetWires 12 guage Ultra Cable speaker wire.

Doesn't seem like alot but when new, all that stuff was around $4500. I got alot of it on sale, on discount or on closeout but I still shelled out well over $3K on it. All work was done by me execpt for the sub box that my dad slapped together for me while I fixed lawn damage at his house from the tractors that they used to pull up the concrete slabs of the patio he had removed.

Not too bad of a system there...not a big fan of Kenwood though.

Off topic, but the system I USED to have...pulled it out of the Prelude when I traded it in, but then sold most of the components over the years:

Sony Head Unit - one of their higher-end models with the fold-down face, and active LCD display on the back of the face when folded up.
Precision Power - Power Class Amps (When PPI was american made, and made QUALITY amps). one PC 4100.2 pushing an Image Dynamics IDQ12 in a custom sealed box. One PC4400.2 pushing the Infinity Kappa 6.5" separates...great sounding speakers, but couldn't handle the amps at high volume...over the few years I had this system I fried the VC on 3 of the 6.5" speakers.
And about $500 worth of wiring. Mostly Phoenix Gold stuff like the distribution blocks and signal wires. Power came through 4ga wire. Most of the accessories like terminals, fuse holders and such were Stinger.

The nice thing about this system (at least to me) was that you could barely hear it outside the car, even with it cranked up. Get in the car, and it'll blow up your eardrums, but DAMN, was the sound CLEAR and CRISP, and that's what I was going for. I went so far as cranking it up, and walking around the car listening for any rattles I could find. I stuck pieces of felt behind the license plate, I stuck small wedges between the undercarriage and heat shields, I built the subwoofer box to fit extremely snug between the wheel wells...and it was worth it.

Fan of Kenwood or not, the eXcelon line is widely respected in many car audio circles. Power houses they are not but they are C L E A N, clean! Personally, out of all the equipment I have owned over the years, I have had equipment from only 3 companies that have not given me any problems. Polk Audio, Kenwood and Hifonics. I've had issues with every other company I have bought stuff from.
