I thought the same thing too!! Or maybe some of those 'coveted' Toyota tails! Or more parts that are "Toyota Cavalier-only"!!

There is a reason behind the Toyota tail lights. Personaly I do not like having my brake light also serve as my turn signal. The Toyota tails also look better than the stock US market lights, well the 95-99 style anyways.

I didn't like the brake/turn combos on cars either. The only difference I see between the'95-99 and the '00 tails besides the amber turn on the '99 is the black outline. A common thing to do amongst non-RS/Z24 1st gens was to swap tails for the larger ones on the Z24. I never did care for the "base" 1st gens!

The 00 style is much rounder and the inners are completely different. The 00 style also has a smaller brake lens but seems to do a decent job of focusing the light to provide more than enough light. I prefer the 95-99 style even though I have the correct style for each of my Z24's.

My 96 K1500 however will always have the stock tail lights.

yeah the more I look at the pics I like the looks of the 95-99 also. Kind of the same thing between the base and RS/Z24 1st gens.

K-series pickups rock! My dad has an '89 2500; we've never put chains on it in the 20 years we've had it!
